5 CHARACTERISTICS TO IDENTIFY WHEN EVALUATING A HAPPY HOUR

The thought of drinking before dinner started in the Prohibition Era. Folks would host’cocktail hours’ in their houses or attend’happy hours’ in speakeasy’s before they would go to dinner at which no alcohol could be served. The term wasn’t widely used by the public before it appeared at a 1959 Saturday Evening Post article about army life. Food was inserted to happy hours in the 1980s to help deter the increase in drinking and driving.
Happy hours are almost universally anticipated by any institution’s patrons to be part of its daily offering. Some joyful hours are better than others. Here are five characteristics to identify when evaluating an institution’s offerings.
1. Ambience - Examine your surroundings. Is this location for you? Do you feel comfortable there? Does this have a blue collar or white collar texture and clientele? Is your lighting right? Does the pub look fine? Can you get it easily? Does it feel too busy? What kind of music is playing? Basically, this characteristic has to do with the feelings or vibe you get from the establishment. This also can ascertain what buddies of yours may or may not like it.
2. Bartender/Service - This one could be divided into two distinct classes but for the purpose of this article it will go hand in hand. Is the bartender careful to the clients? Can they make eye contact? Are they courteous? Can they offer information about the happy hour specials? Are you currently appreciative of your business? When your beverage is all but empty, do they detect and give you a new one? No matter how crowded an establishment gets during happy hour the bartender should always be aware of their services. The good ones do because this is if they can make the maximum money.
3. Food - As previously mentioned, food has been offered during happy hour for a means to slow down the amount of alcohol consumed and the rate at which it can be consumed. Are the offerings miniature versions of the main menu to give you a flavor of the menu to entice you to stay for dinner? Are Happy Hours in dubai ? Does the food taste good? If it’s a buffet, does the buffet remain filled the entire time? Are there some special dishes provided?
